Vance to Conduct Hearing on Movement to Rebalancing of Long-Term Care System
WHAT: Sen. Pat Vance will chair a Senate Aging and Youth Committee hearing on efforts in the Fiscal Year 2008-09 budget to move towards a long-term care system that is balanced between nursing home and community-based care. Currently, the vast majority of funding goes for nursing home care.

Pat Vance; members of the Senate Aging and Youth Committee; and representatives of the Pennsylvania Association of Area Agencies on Aging, Department of Aging, AARP, Pennsylvania Home Care Association, Pennsylvania Health Care Association, the Pennsylvania Association of Non-Profit Homes for the Aging and Pennsylvania Association for Senior Centers.
